The German Surf Championships 2024 have made history - over 10,000 fans watched the exciting finals live in Hallbergmoos and thousands more were there in the livestream as Germany's best surfers fought for the title in the Open category!

In the Women's Final, Camilla Kemp, Germany's first Olympic surfer for Paris 2024, prevailed with impressive skill. Camilla inspires women in surfing and shows how Munich has become an ideal training facility for this sport as a surfing hotspot. Winners - Shortboard Open Women:

4th place: Valeska Schneider

In the Open Men, Leon Glatzer and Tim Elter delivered a thrilling showdown. Leon, who was the first German surfer to compete at the 2021 Olympic Games, prevailed and won the title of German Champion 2024.

The championships also set an important sign for the future of surfing - the inclusion of para-surfing as well as the disciplines of stand-up paddling (SUP) and longboard in a wave pool for the first time shows that surfing can be accessible to everyone, regardless of age, gender or physical limitations - a world premiere on German soil.
