We said goodbye to an old, great friend, the Combi Pool, with one final Pool Party in Orange. Thank you to all the skaters, friends, family, and fans who rolled out one last time to bring the energy and excitement that has made the Pool Party such an amazing event and contest for all these years.

Huge thanks also to all the past pool partiers for adding their own pieces to the legacy of the Combi Pool. While the pool may be gone, we’ll have and cherish the memories we’ve made there forever.

Making History: Arisa Trew on Being the First Female Skateboarder to Land a 900!

Arisa Trew, the 14-year-old from Cairns, Australia, and ranked 5th overall in the World Skateboarding Rankings, just had the most ceiling-shattering year in the recent history not just of skateboarding but action sports more generally.

Beginning the year just outside of podium contention with a 4th at WST Dubai, she then went foot-to-the-floor on a spree including but limited to two OQS Park victories, an Olympic gold medal, two X Games golds, receiving a Laureus Action Sportsperson Of The Year award- and ended the year by being crowned Vert World Champion at WSG Italia in Rome, too.

Notwithstanding all of that, she also put down a history-making marker that May by becoming the first woman ever to do the 900.

Road Dawgs | Exposure Skate 2024

Watch the Women’s Skateboard Park highlights from X Games Chiba 2024 in Japan!

How medal event is judged:
1 heat of 8 athletes participating in three 40 second runs each. Best run counts, scored 1 - 100. Judges will rank competitors throughout the contest.

Skateboard park is a style of skateboarding featuring a variety of obstacles such as ramps, bowls, quarter pipes, and ledges arranged in a challenging and creative layout. Skateboarders use these obstacles to perform a variety of tricks, jumps, and grinds, incorporating a majority or all features into a single run. The athletes will complete as many runs as possible within the jam session, with their best run score counting towards final ranking. Competitors will be judged based on aggressive execution of maneuvers, degree of difficulty, variety, continuity of run, originality and style, amplitude (height of airs) and use of the course.
