Hawaiian Ezekiel Lau Wins Vans World Cup of Surfing

Honolulu’s Ezekiel Lau (HAW) claimed victory today at the World Surf League (WSL) Vans World Cup of Surfing Qualifying Series (QS) 10,000 event, the second stop of the Vans Triple Crown of Surfing, after a dramatic day of competition unfolded in solid 12-15ft. surf at Sunset Beach. Today’s triumph marks Lau’s second Vans World Cup win (his first in 2013) and a massive achievement for the Hawaiian after defeating an international field of 128 top-ranked athletes, including Jesse Mendes (BRA), who earned runner up, Joan Duru (FRA) in third and Griffin Colapinto (USA) in fourth.

QParks Tour 2019 - Contests For Riders

The QParks Tour is the biggest rookie series for snowboarders, and as such it is touring the Alps once again. For the ninth time already, it provides motivated riders with the chance to gather first experience in the professional contest business. At seven stops in three countries, the riders are to dig deep down into their trick bags, because those who convince the judges will bag piles of cash and sweet goodies worth a total of about 22.000€. The best riders can also qualify for the crowning finale at the “Game of Diamonds” in Obergurgl.

In the winter of 2019 freeskiers and snowboarders are performing their best tricks at seven contests in Italy, Austria and Switzerland.
