Already the title ‘Superpark’ is quite a big deal, as season after season, it has to live up to its name and convince freeskiers and snowboarders again and again. So for this winter, park designer Pavel Stratil came up with some extraordinary setup ideas and creative combo-lines. His special at the end section is meant to delight all shred heads. Just recently, the Blue Tomato team riders tested the final setup 2017. Has it met their expectations? Let’s find out.

6th QParks Tour Stop, 19/02/2017, Snowpark Kitzbühel, Kitzbühel, Austria. Fantastic weather conditions, plenty of young and heavily motivated riders and the perfectly shaped Snowpark Kitzbühel - that’s all it took last Sunday to guarantee for a top-notch atmosphere at the Sick Trick Tour Open. Good vibes were especially dominating the female rookie squad leaving their older fellows standing.

A Switzerland-wide novum conquered Pizol last weekend: At Shred Poker, the locals showed off some gnarly tricks, to get as many goodies as possible and 500CHF in cash. At the end of the day, it wasn’t the prizes which were in the focus but rather the fun the riders got from shredding together.

When the Girls Shred Session took place last Saturday in Mayrhofen, the weather gods were certainly pulling all kinds of tricks – dense fog, snowfall and bright sunshine, you name it. The most memorable sight of the day were the smiles on the girls’ faces, though. The fully packed program for girls only included park coaching, photo and film sessions, having lunch together and the Vans Penken Park’s setup was amazing as usual.

5th QParks Tour Stop, 11/02/2017, Snowpark Turracher Höhe, Turracher Höhe, Austria. A snowpark of the highest order, top-notch riders, only the weather didn’t play along too well – still, the participants of this year’s QParks Tour Stop at the Turracher Höhe proved themselves as proper Nock’n’Rockers. Despite the cloudy weather they came up with plenty of gnarly runs.

Last year almost 60 shred queens lived it up at the Girls Shred Session at Vans Penken Park. How many will show up this year? 7th QParks Snowboard Tour Stop, 25/02/2017, Golden Roofpark Axamer Lizum, Axamer Lizum /Austria. New QPark, new QParks Tour Stop! The Golden Roofpark Axamer Lizum has become THE freestyle hotspot for enthusiastic riders around Innsbruck this winter. In February, a proper park warming will be hosted by the QParks Snowboard Tour, as their next Stop leads straight into the Golden Roofpark. At the Gold & Glory, riders can look forward to a mint contest setup and up to 1,200€ prize money.

The Black Yeti travels all around the world during the winter: from Chile to Australia, from Greece to Scandinavia, from the Alps to Japan. Rookies from more that 20 countries battles through the season to conquer their spot to the most exclusive youth snowboard event on planet Earth: the World Rookie Finals at Kitzsteinhorn – Kaprun, Zell am See. In February 2017, the Rookie Fest returns to Oslo for a weekend packed with snowboard in Oslo Winterpark. Riders will be able to compete in halfpipe, and the winners will be awarded with tickets to ride the World Rooke Final 2017.

4th QParks Snowboard Tour Stop, 28/01/2017, Superpark Planai, Schladming /Austria. Last Saturday, all the systems were set to freestyle mode in the Schladming-Dachstein region when the 4th QParks Tour Stop took place at the Superpark Planai in the form of the Blue Tomato Plan P. Park designer Pavel Stratil and his shape crew put a maximum of effort into keeping the contest line in mint condition. Also the weather was on the snowboarders’ and the visitors’ side with plenty of sunshine and comfortable temperatures. Everything just came together – perfect conditions for some mind-bending shred-action!

3rd QParks Snowboard Tour Stop, 15.01.2017, Vans Penken Park, Mayrhofen/Austria. The third stop of the QParks Snowboard Tour became a bold freestyle feast at Vans Penken Park. At this year’s Penken Battle, snowboarders out of all corners of Europe lived it up in the Advanced Line of the Vans Penken Park. They delivered a show of one kind turning the contest into an unforgettable shred day for everyone.
