<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Favourite Destination: Vans Penken Park Mayrhofen</strong></p><div style="text-align: justify;"> </div><p style="text-align: justify;">International snowboarder will know Mayrhofen as a popular freestyle hotspot and you’ll frequently see the one or other pro riding the setup. Past Sunday, however, the Advanced Line was fully in the hands of the up-and-coming talents who travelled to Zillertal valley – from 13 different nations!</p><div style="text-align: justify;"> </div><p style="text-align: justify;">Park designer Oriol Rosell and his shape crew pimped the Advanced Line for the contest on January 15 and the riders were obviously satisfied: “The set up and the obstacles were really great”, Snowboard winner Lea Baumschlager comments. No surprise, as the setup was assembled with a Down Tube and Down Rail in the upper section, followed by three kickers with tables from 5 to 14 meters. This formed the basis for all riders and they totally owned it with a host of sick tricks. From the Cab 900 Nosegrab to stylish Methods heaps of solid moves were presented. The following riders were able to get out the most for themselves and their QParks Snowboard Tour Ranking:</p><div style="text-align: justify;"> </div><p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Snowboard Highlights</strong> </p><div style="text-align: justify;"> </div><p style="text-align: justify;">Snowboarders were looking forward to gaining valuable points for the WSPL Ranking of the World Snowboard Tour and the World Rookie Rank, as well as 1,200€ price money. In the Men’s category, Belgian rider Lorenzo Peeters once again earned a strong load of glory. The winner of the previous Tour Stop collected another bunch of points this weekend and currently leads the overall ranking with 200 Tour Points. He became first place before the Austrian riders Felix Widnig and Moritz Asmuess in the finals and also convinced the judges with a Cab 900 Nose in the Best Trick ranking. We are thrilled for what the Belgian rider will have on offer at the next QParks Snowboard Tour Stop! </p><div style="text-align: justify;"> </div><p style="text-align: justify;">In the Women’s category, the Austrian shred princess Lea Baumschlag gained all the judges’ respect with a startling Frontside Boardslide and a Frontside 360 Stalefish, ahead of Djolie Ectors (BEL) and Jenny Gregori (ITA). </p><div style="text-align: justify;"> </div><p style="text-align: justify;">The up-and-coming talents in the Groms category are the Slovenian riders Jan Vogrin on first place and Bono Karlj Kos on second place, as well as Nico Winkler from Austria on the third place. “It was the perfect day, really good weather and the park was awesome – it was great fun”, Vorgin is happy after the contest, his arms packed with price money and goodies from the Mayrhofner Bergbahnen and QParks. </p><p style="text-align: justify;">Check the full recap of the contest on <em><strong><a href="https://www.facebook.com/vanspenkenpark/" target="_blank">Facebook</a></strong></em> and don’t miss out on what the motivated QParks Snowboard Tour riders have to offer at the next Tour Stop!
