Description: Perfect surf all year round. The Wave is an artificial wave pool where everyone can surf and bodyboard on consistent safe waves every day of the year. We are the first inland surfing venue in England and our Wavegarden technology provides over 1,000 waves an hour. Scheduled to open in autumn 2019.

Rookie Rippers 2024 l Jordy Smith & Laura Crane take on Johanne Defay & Ben Larg That’s it for this years Rookie Rippers. An unforgettable few days where dreams were made for a group of young surfers. Team Jordy Smith & Laura Crane went head to head against Team Johanne Defay & Ben Larg. Our surf coaches, Philippe Malvaux and Ben Skinner, laid out the challenges and we saw a heated battle between the teams, but there can only be one winner. We also selected two new Rookie Rippers to join Team O’Neill. Thanks again to @thewave for having us, everyone who helped make this event possible and of course all the rippers!

Rookie Rippers - The Wave, Bristol 2 days, 10 challenges, 9 hours of surfing, 4500 waves, 1 team crowned champions and 2 new athletes welcomed to Team O’Neill. Welcome to the recap of the O'Neill Rookie Rippers 2023, a youth surf academy that had guaranteed waves, high performance coaching, mentorship and personal feedback that pushed the kids to their limits and took their surfing to the next level. We took 16 kids to The Wave in Bristol and had and absolute blast with professional coaches Philipp Malvaux and Ben Skinner. Captaining the teams were O’Neill riders Beatriz Carvalho and Gui Riberio, with an extra guest appearance from Ben Larg. Shot Sam Light and Gabriella Zagni, edited by Sam Light.
