Video Highlights: Best of Men’s Snowboard Slopestyle | Dew Tour Copper 2020

Due to the cancelation of the men’s snowboard slopestyle qualifier, the final held a stacked roaster of 17 athletes ready to come out swinging for the top podium position. Luckily when the time came to drop in, blue skies appeared above Copper Mountain, allowing for ideal conditions to hit all seven sections of the jib and jump features. YUKI KADONO AND JAMIE ANDERSON WIN 2020 BURTON U·S·OPEN SLOPESTYLE

Snowboarding just doesn’t get any better than today’s slopestyle finals at the 38th annual Burton U·S·Open Snowboarding Championships. Jamie Anderson (USA) earned her eighth Burton U·S·Open title and Yuki Kadono (JPN) repeated his 2015 victory for his second Burton U·S·Open title, each walking away with $45,000. The reimagined slopestyle competition venue provided a challenge and an opportunity for these riders to push their own progression and that of the sport of snowboarding—a trademark of the Burton U·S·Open. The best of three runs format combined with absolutely perfect sunny and calm conditions and a huge cheering crowd led to one of the most exciting adrenaline-filled finals in recent memory.

Burton U·S·Open 2020 – Men's Slopestyle Finals First Place Run – Yuki Kadono

Yuki Kadono laid it down during his second run of the Burton U·S·Open Men's Slopestyle Finals, earning his second title in five years.

Winning Runs: Red Gerard Wins Men’s Snowboard Slopestyle Finals | Dew Tour Copper 2020

A total of seventeen men arrived at the top of slopestyle ready to get buck on this one-of-a-kind course in hopes of emerging as the Dew Tour Copper 2020 champion. Due to the large field of riders and going straight to finals, athletes were allowed two runs each. After all, was said and done it was Red Gerard who came out on top with a high score of 97.33 on his final run. Taking second place in today’s final was Brock Crouch wit Stale Sandbech in third.

Head 2 Head: Red Gerard Vs. Yuki Kadono Switch Backside 1260

In this installment of Head 2 Head, we have Red Gerard Vs. Yuki Kadono duking it out with massive switch backside 1260. Both riders’ huck and spin are executed with speed and amplitude and ultimately comes down to their landing. Gerard’s suspension like legs absorb the three and a half rotation and corrects for landing a bit heavy on his toeside edge. Meanwhile, Kadono just clears the spin twister with his backhand hovering inches above the ground. Voice your opinion and let us know which you like the best!
