Best Foot Forward Europe Winners Trip 2021 | Finalists | California The winners of the Best Foot Forward Europe 2021 Finals went to California in Spring '22. Accompanied by Blue Tomato team riders Levi Löffelberger and Julia Brückler, they got to ride some of the most iconic skate spots of the West Coast. Gustavo Ribeiro, Angelo Caro, Leandre Sanders & crew in Portugal | Red Bull Lisbon Conquest Red Bull Lisbon Conquest is the second instalment of our touring weekend-long skateboard extravaganzas paying homage to the skate culture of great cities around the globe. Each one of our Red Bull Conquest events features as its centrepiece a free weekend skate contest held on replicas of some of the host city’s most iconic skate spots, in a head-to-head eliminator format which crowns a new king and queen of each stop in a city-centre showdown which brings together the best local and international skateboarding talent. As with last year’s awesome Red Bull Paris Conquest, however, there is much more to our weekend celebration than just the contest itself. We throw ourselves into the life of the city itself for the short period in which the event is in town- and Lisbon was no different. From street missions to sampling local delicacies, checking in with local skate shops to find out what’s new in their city and kicking it with the guest skaters who have flown in from around the world to add their energy to the party mix, the rev’s are guaranteed to be high throughout. Red Bull Conquest is unique among skate contests in that the format is one-on-one sudden death knockout, with judges Ricardo Fonseca, Thaynan Costa, Louisa Menke, Anthony Claravall and Dani Lebron each choosing winners based on overall rider impression within each 3- minute jam rather than scoring trick tallies. The rider with most votes after each bout progresses to the next knockout round. Simple, and exciting! Madars Apse was kind enough to be our roving reporter on the ground in Lisbon at the start of July for three days of sun- kissed skate vibes from the Portuguese capital. Rayssa Leal, Nyjah Huston & More: JUST THE FISHEYE SHOTS | SLS Utah 2021 Street League's Salt Lake City Finals went off last weekend, and we had the ultra-precise stylings of Chase Gabor there to capture all the action. He put together this rad edit of some of the prelim skating, Men's and Women's, but Chase wanted to make sure we mentioned that he always stays a little farther away from the skaters when he's filming—you know, so as not to distract them… It can be pretty intimidating when THE Chase Gabor (of the Chicago Gabors) is filming your tricks.
