Background: Jobe was a relative latecomer to the British surf scene. A keen rugby player and swimmer in his youth he first started competing on the surf scene in 2008. A strong and energetic style soon got results and by 2012 he was the clear standout of British Junior surfing winning almost every contest that he entered in the U16 age group as well as numerous national U18 titles. He also started to make a mark in Europe with a 3rd place at the Quiksilver King of the Groms European finals as well as 8th in the European Junior Championships. In 2013 at just 17 Jobe was the highest placed Brit at the Boardmasters event in Newquay and was an established threat in the Open division. Jobe’s focus is now on the European Pro Junior circuit where his no-nonsense critical hits and power surfing has already won many admirers. With such a quick rise few will be surprised to see Jobe winning heats at major global events and taking himself and British surfing to a new higher level.
