Giovanni Vianna, Dora Varella, and Roger Mancha Talk Skateboarding in São Paulo São Paulo is one of the world capitals of skateboarding, with 170 skateparks and countless ‘skatistas’ ripping throughout the municipality. In order to take the temperature of this hotbed, we rolled out on the streets with leader of the new school Giovanni Vianna and dropped in with local Park dominator Dora Varella to get some insights into the concrete waves on which these World Championships are taking part and a sense of where the energy hotspots are in this metropolis right now. For a little history and context, we also stopped by with Brazilian National Street Coach and Uber-O.G.
