What's up

BRUSSELS Wide streets with lots of traffic, glazed skyscrapers surrounded by marble, medieval buildings including a royal palace and a wide gap between rich and poor people - this kind of sounds like New York. However, if you want to experience this big city vibe without travelling across the Atlantic, you don't even have to get on a plane - just head to Brussels. That's what the TITUS guys thought, too, and so Patrick Rogalski, Markus Blessing, Dani Lebron, Jesse Kloes and Jelle Maatman set off on an exploratory tour through the heart of the European Union at the end of September 2024. Welcome to „the city of ledges“! Breite Straßen mit viel Verkehr, verglaste Hochhäuser umgeben von Marmor, mittelalterliche Bauten samt königlichem Palast und eine breite Schere zwischen armen und reichen Menschen – das klingt irgendwie nach New York. Möchte man diesen Vibe einer Großstadt jedoch ohne eine Reise über den Atlantik erfahren, muss man nicht einmal in ein Flugzeug steigen sondern sollte einfach nach Brüssel fahren. Das dachten sich auch die TITUS Jungs und so begaben sich Ende September 2024 Patrick Rogalski, Markus Blessing, Dani Lebron, Jesse Kloes und Jelle Maatman auf Erkundungstour durch das Herz der europäischen Union. Willkommen in „Ledge-City“!

TITUS Skateboards: Pacman In the promising early months of the year 2023, the TITUS skateboards team hailed for a tour to the land of grachts, harbours and amazing spots inbetween cobblestones and coffee shops - The Netherlands! Consuming spots like only Pacman could match up in his maze, the team followed TITUS pro and domestic guide Jelle Maatman through The Hague and Rotterdam. Alongside the well known teamriders, youngstar Jesse Kloes hopped into the van for the first time and earned his first spores under the supervision of the whole team! Way to go Pacman! In den vielversprechenden ersten Monaten des Jahres 2023 machte sich das TITUS Skateboards-Team auf den Weg in das Land der Grachten, Häfen und unfassbaren Spots zwischen Pflastersteinen und Coffeeshops – in die Niederlande! Auf den heimischen Spuren des TITUS-Profis und Guides Jelle Maatman ging es durch Den Haag und Rotterdam und die Jungs verschlangen Spots, wie Pacman Objekte in seinem Labyrinth. Neben den alteingesessenen Fahrern stieg erstmalig auch Youngstar Jesse Kloes in den Van ein und verdiente sich seine ersten Sporen unter der Aufsicht des gesamten Teams! Way to go Pacman!

Gustavo Ribeiro, Angelo Caro, Leandre Sanders & crew in Portugal | Red Bull Lisbon Conquest Red Bull Lisbon Conquest is the second instalment of our touring weekend-long skateboard extravaganzas paying homage to the skate culture of great cities around the globe. Each one of our Red Bull Conquest events features as its centrepiece a free weekend skate contest held on replicas of some of the host city’s most iconic skate spots, in a head-to-head eliminator format which crowns a new king and queen of each stop in a city-centre showdown which brings together the best local and international skateboarding talent. As with last year’s awesome Red Bull Paris Conquest, however, there is much more to our weekend celebration than just the contest itself. We throw ourselves into the life of the city itself for the short period in which the event is in town- and Lisbon was no different. From street missions to sampling local delicacies, checking in with local skate shops to find out what’s new in their city and kicking it with the guest skaters who have flown in from around the world to add their energy to the party mix, the rev’s are guaranteed to be high throughout. Red Bull Conquest is unique among skate contests in that the format is one-on-one sudden death knockout, with judges Ricardo Fonseca, Thaynan Costa, Louisa Menke, Anthony Claravall and Dani Lebron each choosing winners based on overall rider impression within each 3- minute jam rather than scoring trick tallies. The rider with most votes after each bout progresses to the next knockout round. Simple, and exciting! Madars Apse was kind enough to be our roving reporter on the ground in Lisbon at the start of July for three days of sun- kissed skate vibes from the Portuguese capital.
