Around 80 snowboarders from all over Europe came together at the PenkenPark in Mayrhofen-Hippach in the Zillertal, Austria last weekend to be a part of the 3rd Zillertal VÄLLEY RÄLLEY tour stop 2021/2022 hosted by Blue Tomato & Ride Snowboards. The popular Zillertal snowboard amateur series took place in strict compliance with the current governmental safety rules. Beside the open slopestyle contest and freebie freestyle coachings, the Blue Tomato presents: Penken FunRide Battle was a great delight for all riders and guests in Mayrhofen on the training day.

The first edition of Red Bull Rail Yard is coming up in a few weeks. The international snowboarding jib-community gathers from March 31st to April 2nd in Kühtai outside of Innsbruck to celebrate the season end. Red Bull Rail Yard is a session from riders for riders. It’s all about creativity, innovation, and most of all the fun of spring riding together. The riders’ playground is the specially built "Railgarden” with countless rails and features – truly a joy for the pro riders and amateurs to discover. The end of season event offers a total prizemoney of € 15.000 on top.

In a month, freestylers will drop into the Slopestyle course at the FIS Freeski & Snowboard Worldcup Corvatsch in Silvaplana. Preparations are in full swing. From 24 to 27 March 2022, the 9th edition of the Freeski World Cup is taking place, while the snowboarders have Silvaplana on the calendar since 2021. Top riders from all over the world celebrate the FIS World Cup Season Final 2022 in Corvatsch Park. Next to a total of CHF 100.000 in prize money and the event titles, also the large and small crystal globe are awarded.

Snowpark Kitzsteinhorn in Zell am See-Kaprun, Austria, is in full effect: Central Park and South Central Park have been open for some days, Easy Park and Superpipe have been in operation since December. The terrain parks offer a varied range of rails and kickers for every skill level. They will be expanded within the next weeks to provide even more freestyle fun for the spring. Then, some events will take place again as well, including the snowboard finals of the World Rookie Tour. Thanks to the excellent snow conditions, freeriders get their money’s worth on the Kitzsteinhorn as well, as freeriding in XXL format awaits them on the 5 wide powder routes. Everything is ready for the best time on the glacier!

The Olympics are over and our ex rookies and former World Rookie Tour Champions have conquered 4 medals and 24 spots in snowboard and freeski finals. In addition, we had miscalculated in the last PR: from World Rookie Tour events in the last years, the Black Yeti accompanied to the Olympics more than 50 athletes in snowboard and freeski competitions! When 50 girls hit the PenkenPark with the mission to send, the good vibes are guaranteed - and that's exactly the way it was! On Saturday the Girls Shred Session took place in Mayrhofen with perfect blue bird and left nothing to be desired: Smiling faces, lots of fun & progression all day long. Who was not there, missed something!

No matter if it's raining, storming or snowing - everyone was ready for the Girls Shred Session on the Planai. Despite the challenging weather conditions, the girls did their best and even shredded so nice that the sun came out in the afternoon. True to the motto "No Matter the Weather" the day became a unique event with lots of girly good vibes.

Despite the fact the weather wasn't exactly ideal on January 30th, this year's 2nd Girls Shred Sessions took place in the Superpark Planai and was yet another big success.

And it goes on! The 3rd Zillertal VÄLLEY RÄLLEY tour stop 2021/2022 hosted by Blue Tomato & Ride Snowboards will go down at PenkenPark in Mayrhofen Zillertal on February 26th and 27th 2022. The popular Zillertal snowboard amateur series will be carried out in strict compliance with the 3G rule and current staturory provisions. In addition to the open slopestyle contest and freebie freestyle coachings, there is an additional highlight for all guests and participants on the program at Mountopolis/ Mayrhofner Bergbahnen ski area with the Blue Tomato presents: Penken FunRide Battle.

Fourteen of the world’s best snowboarders are packing their boards and starting the trip to Nelson, BC for the second stop of the Natural Selection Tour, the TAE Natural Selection at Baldface. The three-and-a-half hour contest will run “as live” on NaturalSelectionTour.com on March 16, 2022 starting at noon ET / 9AM PT, with the winners revealed at the end of the broadcast.

Snowboard competition at the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games wrapped up in truly epic fashion on Tuesday, with both women’s and men’s big air finals taking to the world’s first and only permanent big air structure at Shougang Park, and with Su Yiming (CHN) Anna Gasser (AUT) claiming Olympic golds.

On of the most highly-anticipated events of the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games took to the slopes of Genting Snow Park on Friday morning, where a titanic battle between Ayumu Hirano of Japan and Australia’s Scotty James saw Hirano stomp an near-perfect final run to vault over the Australian and into gold medal position in what will no-doubt go down as one of the most memorable competitions in snowboard history.

The best halfpipe in the world saw one of the best women’s finals of all time go down on Thursday morning at the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games, where Chloe Kim (USA) became the first woman to win back-to-back Olympic golds with a standout first run that would easily withstand all challenges.

One of the most highly-anticipated events of the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games is set to hit the Genting Snow Park this week, with Olympic halfpipe competitions slated to drop in beginning on Wednesday with women’s and men’s qualifications (women at 9:30 local time, men at 12:30), followed by women’s finals on Thursday beginning at 9:30, and men’s finals on Friday, also starting at 9:30.
