Kauli Vaast and Maelys Jouault have won the men and women’s Junior Pro Biscarrosse titles respectively, in unruly conditions again today. Competition resumed at high tide this morning using double banks to allow the event’s completion on the final day of the waiting period.

Courtney Conlogue (USA) has won the Rip Curl Women’s Pro Bells Beach today after defeating Stephanie Gilmore (AUS) in four-to-six foot (1 - 2 metre) conditions at the world-renowned Bells Beach in the Australian state of Victoria.

Reigning WSL Champion John John Florence (HAW) claimed victory today at the second stop of the World Surf League (WSL) Championship Tour (CT), the Drug Aware Margaret River Pro, after defeating Kolohe Andino (USA) in the Final.

Jesse Mendes (BRA) and Malia Manuel (HAW) have taken out the 2017 Australian Open of Surfing at Manly in some of the best conditions the event has seen in its history. Manly tuned it on for the second WSL Qualifying Series (QS) 6,000 event of the year with clean 2-to-3 foot waves for finals day.

Yago Dora and Johanne Defay have taken out the 2017 Maitland and Port Stephens Toyota Pro and Anditi Women’s Pro. The WSL Qualifying Series (QS) 6,000 events run in conjunction with Newcastle Surfest and were completed today in wind affected 3-to-4 foot waves at Merewether Beach.

Macy Callaghan and Reef Heazlewood took the top spots on finals day of event two of the Subway Surf Series. North Cronulla Beach experienced decent two-foot waves making for an exciting contest.

North Shore standouts Barron Mamiya (HAW) and Zoe McDougall (HAW) conquered a highly talented field of opponents in big surf today at the Sunset Pro Junior, a World Surf League (WS) Junior Qualifying Series (JQS) 1,000 rated event. This is Mamiya’s debut win in a pro competition and McDougal’s first in Hawaiian waves (she won the Billabong Junior Series in South Africa in 2016). The two took home 1,000 points, prize money and the glory of winning in their own backyard.

Australian duo Ethan Ewing and Macy Callaghan have capped off their stellar competitive seasons, taking out the World Junior Championship (WJC) in Kiama, NSW. Conditions were not ideal but the world’s best put on an incredible show in the clean 2-foot peaks that were on offer at the stunning Bombo Beach.

Nine years after his first title, Brazilian Phil Rajzman has won the 2016 Jeep World Longboard Championship presented by Wanning. Rajzman overcame Steven Sawyer in the Final, which was held in 3-5 foot waves at the left hand point break of Riyue Bay.

Californian Tory Gilkerson has taken out the 2016 Jeep Women’s World Longboard Championship presented by Wanning at the pristine left point of Riyue Bay on the Chinese Island of Hainan. Gilkerson came up against Brazilian longboarding prodigy Chloe Calmon in the Final.

Newly crowned 2016 WSL Champion Tyler Wright (AUS) has won the Maui Women's Pro, the tenth and final stop on the 2016 Samsung Galaxy World Surf League (WSL) Women’s Championship Tour (CT), after defeating two-time event winner Carissa Moore (HAW) in the Final.

John John Florence (HAW), 24, today clinched the 2016 World Surf League (WSL) Title in dramatic fashion with a victory at the MEO Rip Curl Pro Portugal in Peniche, marking the first time a Hawaiian has held the men’s world surfing crown since the late Andy Irons (HAW) in 2004.

In the final, most anticipated Pro Junior event of the season, Noa Mizuno (Kuliouou, Oahu) and Mahina Maeda (Sunset Beach, Oahu) captured the win at the Turtle Bay Resort Pro Junior, the last World Surf League (WSL) Junior Qualifying Series (JQS) of the year.
