A hugely successful Calgary Snow Rodeo came to a close on Sunday morning at Canada Olympic Park with a highly-charged FIS Snowboard slopestyle World Cup competition, where a pair of first-time World Cup victors were crowned as Laurie Blouin thrilled the Canadian fans with a win on home soil in the women’s competition and Tiarn Collins of New Zealand lead the way for the men with an impressive performance.

It was an ending both surreal and thrilling for the 2019/20 FIS Snowboard Halfpipe World Cup season on Saturday night at the Snow Rodeo in Calgary, where Cai Xuetong (CHN) and Scotty James (AUS) earned the season’s crystal globes in two vastly different ways, with Cai winning the night’s contest to break a tie with her biggest rival Liu Jaiyu, and James beaten for the first time in 12 international competitions by 17-year-old phenom Ruka Hirano (JPN).

A first-class rookie showdown was waiting for all riders and visitors at Snowpark Alta Badia last Saturday, as the Rookie Battle Alta Badia kept what it had promised: finest contest vibes and an action-packed day in the Dolomites. Thus, it was no surprise that rookies from all over the Alps made their way to Alta Badia to show what they’ve got.

The final day of action at the FIS Snowboard World Cup Mammoth Mountain went down in a big way on Saturday, with slopestyle finals closing out a jam-packed week with a hugely entertaining competition, and Jamie Anderson and Dusty Henrickson made the home crowd proud with impressive victories.

Those on hand in Mammoth Mountain (USA) on Friday were treated to a truly epic day of competition under warm, sunny Californian skies, where Cai Xuetong (CHN) and Yuto Totsuka (JPN) put their stamp on the Mammoth halfpipe with some incredible riding to take wins at the FIS Snowboard Halfpipe World Cup Mammoth Mountain Land Rover US Grand Prix.

The second Zillertal VÄLLEY RÄLLEY tour stop hosted by Blue Tomato & Ride Snowboards went down on January 25th and 26th, 2020 at Zillertal Arena. Around a hundred riders were present at the Actionpark Kreuzwiese in Zell to participate in the Zillertal´s popular snowboard amateur series.

X Games Aspen 2020 closed out Sunday with 111,500 people passing through the gates over the four day event. The final Slopestyle event of the weekend, Jeep Women’s Ski, kicked off the day before snowboarders used the rail section for the first-ever Jeep Rail Jam. R&B/pop superstar Bazzi wrapped up entertainment on the GEICO Music Stage before Wendy’s Snowboard Knuckle Huck, Great Clips Men’s Ski SuperPipe and Snow Bike Best Trick rounded out the evening.
