The final qualification event for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics finished up this past weekend and sets the stage for the Olympic Games this summer. On a course that everyone seemed to be hyped on and in a location that was breath taking on all levels, the vibe on this one was different.

The first Best Foot Forward Europe Tour stop took place on 29th of May in Hamburg at the skatepark Allerfornia (@allerfornia). The vibes were great, the sun was shining and the skaters destroyed the park in every possible way. Highlight of the day was the Surprise Session at the end of the contest by Solo Skatemag (@soloskatemag) at the mobile tribune and the gap session.

In the Colle Oppio Skatepark, World Skate President Sabatino Aracu officially presented the Street World Championships that will be held in the Stadio Pietrangeli, in the Foro Italico in Rome starting from May 30 until June 6.

The Best Foot Forward Tour presented by Blue Tomato and Zumiez, the biggest AM Skateboard Contest tour in the world, is starting into a new round to offer the best amateur skateboarders a stepping stone into a professional skate career. Throughout the whole summer, there will be tour stops across Europe. The best 3 skaters and the best female skater will be invited to the European final in Innsbruck.

Despite huge efforts from the World Skate unfortunately it will not be possible for the planned 2021 Park World Championships to go ahead. There have been obstacles after obstacles and at the end it was simply not possible to find suitable location for the event.

Gathered today for a press conference at the Hôtel de Région Occitanie Pyrénées Méditerranée in Montpellier, the FISE team and representatives of its partners presented the format of the festival for 2021. And it's a new urban sports concept, which articulates physical and digital phases, that will continue to bring together the world's top-level and bring out their young talents.

FISE Montpellier 2021 is planned for September 3-5 and will feature Spine Ramp skateboard contest.

Mountain Dew® and Accelerate360’s ASN: The Adventure Sports Network Group announces its annual summer Dew Tour skateboard competition and festival is moving to Des Moines, Iowa, and will be held May 20-23, 2021 at the brand new Lauridsen Skatepark. The event will include World Skate sanctioned men’s and women’s skateboarding Street and Park competitions, serving as the only U.S.-based global Olympic skateboard qualifying events for 2021. Skateboarding will make its debut at the Olympic Games this summer in Tokyo, which was rescheduled in 2020 for July 23 – August 8, 2021, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Simple Session 21 will be back in Tallinn, Estonia, on August 20th and 21st for a two-day festival and an all-around good time. The Simple Session series will host an exciting street-focused contest in the hip new Põhjala area – an old rubber factory turned into a cultural hub will serve as a thrilling new location for the event.

German skateboarder Vladik Scholz is always up for new challenges and he linked up with master craftsman Andreas Schutzenberger to roll out a pioneering indoor skatepark project - a hydraulic tilting Munich labyrinth known as The Maze.

Due to the recent Covid-19 autumn emergency on both national and international level, the WRT organizing committee decided to postpone the upcoming national qualifying event in Modena scheduled for Sunday, November the 1st, and as well the 2020 World Final in Innsbruck, Austria. Both events will be re-scheduled during the first 2021 quarter with dates to be defined.

The top ranked professional and amateur athletes from E-FISE Montpellier have been selected to represent their country in a new contest called E-FISE Montpellier Battle of the Nations. Each Nation will be represented by a compilation video showcasing the team's highlights from their E-FISE Montpellier video entries and fans will be able to vote for their favorite Nation.

Modena is ready to welcome young skaters, from 30 October to 1 November, the last qualification event to the World Rookie Tour Skateboarding 2020. The last chance - after the stops in Germany, Switzerland and the Czech Republic - to get a spot for the end of season World Rookie Tour Skateboard Final in Innsbruck (Austria), scheduled from 13 to 15 November.

The last qualification stop of 2020 World Rookie Tour Skateboarding will take place at Modena's Rock & Ride Skatepark, Italy, October 30 - November 1.

The Poseiden Foundation have been putting on women’s skate events at The Berrics for years, and their annual Ladies Nights are some of the most eagerly anticipated. On November 7, Poseiden is holding a very special Ladies Night featuring their very first Global Virtual Game of S.K.A.T.E.! Girls from all over the world have signed up for this competition—which begins today and also includes a goofy vs. regular contest—and there will be special guests galore!
