Being from Quebec, Gab Jacques came into BETA as a bit of an outsider. Shy and void of schtick, Gab’s skills on big setups and hospitality while touring spots in his home province quickly won over the crew. The bonds built while battling tricks and enduring a season of close-quarters travel yields a camaraderie less tenuous than the ties wrought chasing points. By season’s end, Gab found his comfort zone strapped in alongside Reid and Benny and the result is a BETA segment that speaks volumes, language barrier be damned.
