Kappl turned from a secret spot for freeriders to one of the most well-known freeride areas in the Alps within 5 years, as it hosted the FWT twice after the FWT stop in Fieberbrunn had to be relocated to Paznaun. The Freeride virus took over this little village in the Paznaun valley with its sunny slopes and endless freeride possibilities and since then, everything in and around Kappl is about Freeride. Kappl is for sure one of the most impressive stops within the Open Faces contests. The top of the Quellspitze has an incredible view and provides a bunch of creative lines from speedy to very alpine, with flow sections and massive cliffs. And all the spectators have an all day sunny place in the public area.
