Para Surfing Sport Classes Para surfing class classification

Para Surfing Stand 1
(Stand 1) Amputees, congenital or equivalent disabilities, short stature and standing surfers.

Para Surfing Stand 2
(Stand 2) A surfer who has an amputation below the knee, a congenital or equivalent defect, or a leg length discrepancy who rides waves while standing.

Para Surfing Stand 3
(Stand 3) A surfer who rides a wave while standing with above-the-knee amputation, amputation of both legs, congenital or equivalent.

Para Surfing
Kneel A surfer who rides a wave on his knees and without a paddle in a seated position with above-the-knee amputation, or amputation of both lower limbs, or with congenital or equivalent defects.

Para Surfing
Waveski A surfer who rides waves seated with a paddle and doesn't need support to paddling or get back on board safely.

Para Surfing Prone
1 A surfer who doesn't need help getting back on his board safely when paddling on his stomach into a wave.

Para Surfing Prone
2 Surfers who ride waves in a prone position and need assistance paddling and boarding safely.

Para Surfing Vision Impairment
1 A surfer who rides a wave in a standing state of IBSA classification B1 level.

Para Surfing Vision Impairment
2 A surfer riding a wave in a standing position of IBSA classification B2, B3 level.
