Association info: The Uganda Skateboard Union is a non-government organisation that helps children in the slum area of Kitintale Kampala Uganda, to battle idleness and any other sort of reckless behaviour by putting their minds on something else that is skateboarding. It was started on April 2006 by Mr Jackson Mubiru with a vision of introducing skateboarding in Uganda, and at the same time provide an outlet for the children to have some fun. Throughout the years the union has expanded its reach, not only limiting themselves within Kitintale but is now spreading out to other parts of Uganda. But as a non-profit organisation it tends to face some issues day to day, such as lack of equipment and facilities. Most of the equipment are received from donors worldwide hoping to help make a change in the lives of some kids, and they did :D
