2025 Great Ocean Road Womens Surf Fest - Lorne, Gadubanud Country The 2025 Great Ocean Road Womens Surf Fest has seen hundreds of frothing women and girls take over Lorne in a celebration of women’s surfing on the Great Ocean Road. Over 500 entries were taken over the weekend across Learn to Surf lessons, Surf Competition, Workshops in the Torquay Dental Surfers Hub and Intermediate Coaching Sessions. This was alongside over 2000 spectators and market attendees at the Lorne Swell Market across the weekend. The event was highlighted by the attendance by 2025 Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach Champion Isabella Nichols. “I had such a fun day” said Nichols. Nichols spent the day taking the next generation of Victorian women surfers for a surf session, with girls invited from the Surfing Victoria Performance Pathway, before participating in a Q&A on her surfing life hosted by Ula Majewski. “It was inspiring to see so many women and girls coming together for something they love – surfing‘ Open Women Surf Competition winner Estella Carbonelli (Jan Juc) was stoked to be part of the festival. “It was such a sick event. I love surfing down here the waves are super fun and it was amazing to get to surf with all my friends and check out the market.” Surfing Victoria CEO Adam Robertson was thrilled to see another fantastic festival bringing women and girls from across the state “The 2025 Great Ocean Road Women’s Surf Fest has been an incredible celebration of women’s surfing,” said Surfing Victoria CEO Adam Robertson. “The vibe, energy and support we’ve seen in and out of the water all week has been inspiring.
