How skateboarders train | How Olympians Train Skateboarding made its exciting debut at the 2021 Olympic Games in Tokyo and immediately caught the attention of a new generation of sports fans. This fast-paced sport comprises two disciplines: street and park. While the street competitions take place in a replica of urban environments, including stairs, railings and benches, the park competitions are held in specially designed concrete pools with different heights and curves.An outstanding example of the fascination of Olympic skateboarding is the youngest medal winner, Sky Brown, who was only 13 years old at the Tokyo Games. This dynamic sport was introduced to attract younger spectators to the Olympic Games and show them that creativity, difficulty, originality and the perfect execution of tricks are the key to success. BEST OF Men’s Skateboard Park | X Games Chiba 2024 Watch the Men’s Skateboard Park highlights from X Games Chiba 2024 in Japan! How medal event is judged: 1 heat of 8 athletes participating in three 40 second runs each. Best run counts, scored 1 - 100. Judges will rank competitors throughout the contest. Skateboard park is a style of skateboarding featuring a variety of obstacles such as ramps, bowls, quarter pipes, and ledges arranged in a challenging and creative layout. Skateboarders use these obstacles to perform a variety of tricks, jumps, and grinds, incorporating a majority or all features into a single run. The athletes will complete as many runs as possible within the jam session, with their best run score counting towards final ranking. Competitors will be judged based on aggressive execution of maneuvers, degree of difficulty, variety, continuity of run, originality and style, amplitude (height of airs) and use of the course. #XGames # XGamesChiba #XGamesJapan #Skateboarding
