Boerf or Die is one the rare surf films that combine humor, a unique cinematography and a exotic unusual surfing destination: Madagascar. The film is directed by award-winning filmmaker Christian Kirberg and Co written by Chris Knipping, it is produced in association with Ete Berlin.
Boerf or Die will explore the menagerie of obscure german actors discovering a sport which is normally described as invented by the gods in Hawaii. The stylistic cinematography of distinctive color patterns, sometimes perfectly symmetrical shots, and a focus on character development are uncommon in the surfers short-film territory.

Boerf or Die already won the Shortfilm Award of the N/ NO Surffilm Festival 2018 in Berlin.
Our first movie, Surfing Zebra Sumatra ( vimeo.com/83302508 ) won the Best Shortie Award in the Surf Film Festival in Hamburg and scored Second Place at Surffilm Festival Munich.
