Action continued at Buttermilk on Friday during X Games Aspen 2020, with a few more eliminations in Jeep Men’s Ski Slopestyle and The Real Cost Men’s Snowboard Big Air before awarding medals in Snowmobile Freestyle, Women’s Ski Big Air, Great Clips Men’s Ski SuperPipe Elimination, The Real Cost Men’s Ski Big Air and closing out with another new discipline, Snowboard SuperPipe Session.

X Games Aspen 2020 kicked off Thursday night at Buttermilk mountain in Aspen Snowmass, Colorado, where day one of the 24th edition of the X Games winter event began with a few eliminations and closed out with the first-ever Ski Knuckle Huck, Monster Energy Men’s Snowboard SuperPipe and Pacifico Women’s Big Air.

An unreal week of riding under perfect conditions at a perfectly-prepared venue culminated in a thrilling day of finals action on Thursday at the FIS Snowboard Slopestyle World Cup Seiser Alm Legends, where Australia’s Tess Coady and Vlad Khadarin of Russia both stepped up to take their first career World Cup slopestyle wins in a thrilling day of competitions in the Italian Dolomites.

The LAAX OPEN 2020 ended today with a bang: When daylight disappeared, the long awaited Halfpipe Night Finals went down under floodlight with thousands of spectators lining up along the LAAX Superpipe on Crap Sogn Gion witnessing the world’s best Halfpipe riders live in action. Queralt Castellet (SPA) & Scotty James (AUS) claimed the prestigious LAAX OPEN Halfpipe titles, taking home not only the trophy but also CHF 25.000 each.

The weather played along another day putting smiles on all faces while witnessing today’s Snowboard action in the innovative course for the highly anticipated Slopestyle finals in LAAX. Julia Marino (USA) & Sebastien Toutant (CAN) are the proud first LAAX OPEN winners of the new decade walking home with a prize purse of CHF 25.000 each.

The celebration of the 15th edition of the World Rookie Fest was a blast with 100 riders from 15th nations took part in the slopestyle contest in the new proline of the Mottolino Snowpark: athletes from 10 different nations obtain a spot on the podium, underlining the international stance of this iconic youth snowboard event.

With over 120 registered riders and an international starter field, the first stage of Zillertal´s most popular Snowboard Amateur Series has been a full success.

Bad weather, so what…? According to this motto, on December 21, more than 20 girls proved that real shred queens don’t mind rough conditions. Thus, new tricks and good vibes prevailed over cold feet and frozen noses at the Girls Shred Session Obergurgl and the girls had a blast shredding the Familypark Obergurgl.

Riders from all over the globe gear up for the most prestigious snowboard contest in the Alps, the LAAX OPEN 2020. Around 200 professional snowboarders will inaugurate the new decade participating in the FIS Snowboard World Cup from January 13 to 18, 2020 in LAAX, Switzerland.

The 2019/20 big air World Cup season went into the history books on Saturday night at Sun Trust Park, the home of Major League baseball’s Atlanta Braves, where Japan’s Reira Iwabuchi put an exclamation point on her second-straight big air crystal globe-season with a victory, and the USA’s own Chris Corning stomped a final-run quad cork 1800 to make history, win the event, and walk away with the seventh crystal globe of his career.

By now almost traditionally, the QParks Tour starts off at Superpark Planai. Once again, the Blue Tomato Plan P on January 11, 2020 represents a laid-back slopestyle contest for snowboard groms and adults, boys and girls – everyone is more than welcome to participate. During one of 2020’s first freestyle competitions in the Alps, riders have the chance to gain valuable contest experience while also going for cash & rad prizes and points for several freestyle rankings.
