On March 10th and 11th, the third event of the infamous Billabong presents: Zillertal Välley Rälley hosted by Ride Snowboards went down at the Penken Park in Mayrhofen, HIppach in the Zillertal. Beside the slopestyle contest, Austria´s greatest Snowboard Amateur series were hosting the popular Penken Fun Ride Battle. Gustav Ohlsson delivered a new Välley Rälley song on his guitar for some great vibes on the Coaching Day. Changing and challenging weather conditions could not stop anybody from having fun and many happy faces and lucky winners were the outcome of another unforgettable event in Mayrhofen. Andreas MonEpic Monsberger sums it up in moving pictures below.

For the third Billabong presents: Zillertal Välley Rälley hosted by Ride Snowboards tourstop at the Penken Park in Mayrhofen, the weather turned out to be a bit moody. Once again, the Ästhetiker decided to hold the contest on Saturday and it was the right decision. In the morning, the Penken Park was sparkling in the sunshine with a perfect setup and snowboarders between 6 and 36 years took it on with the attractive slopestyle course.

At the end of the day, it was Fabian Knözinger (GER) who took the top spot on the men´s podium. With her win in the ladies competition, Anna Lora (AUT) is keeping the lead in the Välley Rälley overall rankings. Till Strohmeier from Germany went for gold in the Rookie Boys class, which put Czech Roman Zanka in second place. This could not impress the Czech ripper much, since he was still holding on to the overall lead with his new result. Belgium´s Evy Poppe climbed the grom girls podium in first position, which saved her the pole position in the overall rankings. Once again, Team Great Britian was more than successful at the Välley Rälley. With Amber Fennell (Super Grom Girls), Charlie Lane (Super Grom Boys) and Gabe Adams (Grom Boys), the United Kingdom claimed three times gold. All three riders also sit in the top spots in the overall rankings of their categories. In addition to all this, Charlie got awarded 'most impressive grom of the dÄy' while Gabe deserved the Billabong Best Trick Award with his stylish switch backside 720.

After three out of four tour events, Felix Widnig (AUT), Anna Lora (AUT), Roman Zanka (CZE) and Luca Mai Lane Hopkins (GBR) have earned wild cards for the Austrian Masters Slopestyle Contest on March 22th until 24th at Kuehtai. Roman Zanka and Luca Mai Lane Hopkins both claim a start spot for the World Rookie Finals on April 10th until 15th at Kitzsteinhorn. The third Välley Rälley tourstop in Mayrhofen also counts as an official event of the Super Grom Tour Tyrol, which will crown its overall winners on March 17th and 18th at Kuehtai.

Sunday´s coaching was under the sign of sharing the stoke of snowboarding and having fun with like-minded people. In the morning, motivated shredders were improving their freestyle skills with the Ästehtiker to some great guitar sounds by Gustav Ohlsson. At 12.00 o´clock lunch time, more than 50 competitors of all age groups showed up to race against the time at the Penken Fun Ride Battle presented by Billabong. The participation was more than worth it. Not only because of all the fun, fame and glory, but also for all those mad prizes and nice goodies, Billabong had on hand for everybody. It was Wolle Nyvelt´s daughter, Mila Nyvelt (AUT), who raced to first place in the Super Grom Girls category, while Anna Lora (AUT) went for her second gold medal in the ladies class. No one could overtake Fabian Finley Nehring (GER) in the Super Grom Boys contest and Billabong rider Lukas Rodriguez (ESP) dominiated the Grom Boys podium. Since no one out of the present premium top riders starter field managed to beat Steve Gruber´s score in the men´s race, the Ästhetiker prÄsident claimed the title for himself. Last but not least, Ride Snowboards gave out the last presents to all participants of the Limbo RIDE. What a fun weekend!

Anna Schneeberger, Marketing & Projects manager Mayrhofner Bergbahnen is happy with the outcome: 'A big thanks goes out to the Ästhetiker crew for this great event!
