<div><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">Skateboarder from Itapetininga is Street champion in Criciúma and gets emotional when remembering the two knee surgeries she had.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">"Good things are to come" was what was written on the shape she took to the Street final in Criciúma, this Sunday (24/03), at the Parque da Prefeitura track. And a very good thing came to <strong>Isabelly Ávila</strong>: her first STU stage title, after seven years competing in the Brazilian skateboarding circuit. And the emotion would soon take over the skater from Itapetininga (SP), as she remembered everything she had to overcome in recent times to be able to get here and be able to celebrate a feat that is already part of her history.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">The year was 2021 when Isabelly was going down a railing during the STU Open Rio and injured her right knee. After a while, recovered from the surgery, she returned to the scene. But the following year, on the same obstacle, on the same track, in the same championship, a new injury, but in the left knee. Forced to have another surgery, she stopped doing what she loves the most. But I knew that giving up wasn't an option. He won this new stage of his life and career and returned to the track in the middle of last year. The reward came this Sunday.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">"I'm even thrilled by my overcoming, because I got more seriously injured twice, had two surgeries, one on each knee, and on the same day January 3rd. I had to chase to get into the rhythm of the other girls. It was very difficult. Coming back from injury is very complicated both physically and emotionally. These tears are of happiness. Going back to skateboarding was all I wanted the most and today I'm here to celebrate this title a lot," said Isabelly, shortly after being hugged by all the other finalists.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">With a score of 68.55 on the first of her three laps, Isabelly won her first STU stage title. The second place went to <strong>Carla Karolina</strong> (67.57) from Alagoas and the third to <strong>Kemily Suiara</strong> (67.43), who was born in Planaltina (DF). The champion remembers that she made some podiums in her years on the STU circuit, but admits that she was very much chasing the highest place. Tears of genuine emotion would soon give way to a contagious smile.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">"I already had about five third-place finishes and a couple of second-place finishes at STU. It wasn't possible that this title wouldn't come! Thank God, I had a good performance this weekend here in Criciúma and everything worked out. I wanted to take this opportunity to thank my coach, my boyfriend and all these guys who threw a lot of energy to the rink," she said, who had already scored the best score among the 12 skaters in Saturday's semifinal.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><strong>NoParaskate Street, title for Felipe Nunes</strong></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">And in one of the most inspiring moments of the entire stage of the STU National, Paraskate had its final on Street this Sunday. After debuting with the Park modality in Florianópolis (SC), with the title of<strong> Vini Sardi</strong>, the circuit continued in Criciúma and crowned <strong>Felipe Nunes</strong> as the great champion, with an impressive score of 90.78. Disability, which is not the right word to use to talk about these heroes of sport and life, is overcome daily in the face of one or another limitation that any person has.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">"Skateboarding makes us live, it's an inspiration to us. It's nice to have all this support from STU to make people know more about the sport. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the people who were here and sent us incredible energy. And the skaters who were here are to be congratulated, they rode a lot. Everyone pushed themselves to do their best. I managed to get my tricks right and secured a good grade. Happy for that title. Let Porto Alegre come," said Felipe Nunes, already projecting the next stage, from April 12 to 14.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">The Criciúma stage of the STU National 2024 was presented by Banco BV and had Petrobras as master sponsor, in addition to sponsorships from the Federal Government, Monster Energy, the Municipality of Criciúma, the Municipal Sports Foundation and Tiger.
