<div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">"Nice to meet you! I'm <strong>Dan Sabino</strong>, I'm 15 years old, I'm from SĂŁo Bernardo do Campo and I'm a professional skateboarder. I've been skating since I was a year old and just won my first stage of the STU National." That's how, with a wide smile, braces on his teeth, a boyish face, Dan introduced himself to everyone who still didn't know him right after winning the title of the opening stage of the Brazilian circuit, in FlorianĂłpolis, at Skate Park do AbraĂŁo, this Sunday (04/02). But, in the scene, everyone already knows very well the potential of this SĂŁo Paulo, one of the great names of the new generation, the youngest among the finalists of the Park.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">The 2023 season had already ended promisingly for Dan Sabino, with third place in the last stage, in Recife, his only podium so far in a STU National stage. In the new format of disputed competition, the final now has only six skaters, instead of eight, narrowing the number of competitors and increasing the bar towards victory. Alongside Dan, the giant <strong>Pedro Barros</strong>, Olympic medalist, <strong>Augusto Akio</strong>, now second in the world ranking in the race towards Paris-2024, <strong>Luiz Francisco</strong>, another representative of Brazil at the Tokyo Games, the experienced <strong>Murilo Peres</strong> and the promising young <strong>Kalani Konig</strong>.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">"A final of giants, right?! I'll be honest, I came here to give it my all, of course, but I didn't expect this victory. It's the fulfillment of a childhood dream, my first title at STU. And I competed with skaters who, in addition to being friends, are my idols, like Pedro Barros. Madness! I'm too happy. The public in Floripa is angry. The biggest crowd was for Pedro and Kalani, who are from here, but the affection I received was sensational. I don't even know what to say. It's a special day. I trained a lot for this stage and I'm glad everything went well. I want to take this opportunity to thank my dad, all my family and God," Dan said.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">Just to give you an idea, Dan Sabino currently occupies the 72nd position in the world ranking. He himself knows that it is very difficult and almost unlikely that he will get a place to compete in the Paris Games. There are still three Park tournaments to go that are worth points in the Olympic race, in Dubai, Hungary and China. As long as there is chance and hope, he says he will fight, just as he fought and shone on the new track in FlorianĂłpolis. And he hopes to continue tracing around the world what he accomplished in the capital of Santa Catarina. I still managed to increase the score in the third round, which would end up granting me the title", reported Dan, who, in the two 20-minute sessions of the final, worth the best score, got 75.00 in the first, 84.00 in the second and 85.00 in the third.
