As the first sunrays turned the snow of the Snowpark Ehrwalder Alm into a sea of glitter, it was pretty clear that this day was gonna be a sweet one for all shredheads around Ehrwald. As soon as the ski lifts started running, the park rats rode their first lines at the playground and the level already was outstanding.

Shortly after that, the first smooth tunes blasted out of the speakers and riders of any age started to fill the chill area. Speaker and judge Philipp Mück explained the rules and from then on the motto was: “Let’s get ready to rumble!“ The Shred Poker Ehrwald was on!

The chosen park feature was the 8m tank with hip and the riders destroyed it right away. They showed a wide range of different styles and moves in the air as well as on the tank. Also the youngest riders turned their timid straight airs into brave 180s and 360s. Everyone was rewarded with poker chips for their signature moves. One of the highlights was the sweet 180 of Nicolas Botae over the whole feature. It seemed like someone had pushed the slowmo button because his trick was just super sleek!

This trick and some other sick bangers helped him reach the first place and to win 200€ cash! In the women’s ranking Karolina Stroh could win by steezing it up on the tank. Leopold Frey and twintip machine Sandro Baur secured the second and third place and won some cash as well. In the end every participant was a winner because everyone received some sweet goodies from Amplifi, Pow Gloves, TSG and Pinetime Clothing.

The only thing hotter than the prizes was the grill. The sausages started to sizzle and the BBQ was on! The riders relaxed at the chill area and enjoyed one or two sausages with some cold drinks, chatting about the highlights of the contest. In the end it was an awesome session full of shred action and happy faces!
