Indonesian Billabong Grommet Attack series renamed to Billabong Bloodline Series - Bali

The change of the series title is off the back of the brand’s famed international training programme, Billabong Bloodlines. Conceived and designed for its stable of junior athletes, the intent of the programme is to deliver a pathway of opportunities for its grommets, focusing on key areas of athlete skill development. In addition to that, the programme also exposes its athletes to world class waves to give them familiarity, comfort and help bridge the sometimes daunting gap between junior competitions and touring life.

The off shoot of this programme is the “Billabong Bloodlines Series”, which is a compilation of junior events in key regional areas around the world. The series targets the grassroots of surfing whilst maintaining the prestige of being the premium junior event, and the benchmark of the region’s surfing calendar. The series is currently active in Australia and Bali, and will soon be introduced across other parts of the world.

The Bali edition of the series will commence at *Halfway Beach; followed by *Padma Beach; and culminating at *Pererenan Beach. Competitors will accumulate points across the three events, with a series champion to be crowned at the completion of the Pererenan contest. Dates for the series are listed as below (Dates may change depending on weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances) :

·         Halfway Beach – 16 July 2017

·         Padma Beach – 27 August 2017

·         Pererenan Beach – 10 September 2017

In each leg, winners of the junior divisions will each receive a trophy, prize packs from Billabong, and other gifts from participating *sponsors; and overall winners of the series will each take home a shopping voucher worth IDR. 2,000,000. Registration for the following divisions open three (3) weeks prior to the contests, and closes a week before each leg:

·         Push-in Division (Aged 10 and under)

·         Aged 14 and Under Boys

·         Aged 16 and Under Boys

·         Aged 16 and Under Girls
