In the early hours it looked like the weather would match the awesomeness of Gold & Glory: The fog was lying as a thick blanket over the valley, the sun was out and the Golden Roofpark Axamer Lizum was ready to rumble. In order to finish the contest line in time, the shapecrew and park designer Sam Bird were working until late in the night before. The riders rewarded their effort by stomping some high level tricks during their training runs. The number of all shredders who came to attend the contest was high, but their riding level was even higher. In training the judges got a taste of what to expect at the contest. But then the fog set in.

No Contest, fine Goodies 4 Tricks Session

And the fog wouldn´t leave the park, so a plan b had to be found. And that was having a sick Goodies 4 Tricks Session at the two Tubes, which would have been the first hit in the Contest Line. At that fine hike session all shredders showed what they got and earned themselves some goodies from Axamer Lizum, WeAre, Amplifi, QParks und Pinetime Clothing by stomping tricks. That way, nobody left the Golden Roofpark with empty pockets and once again it was proven that nothing stops real riders from shredding. Not even heavy fog.

Lunch for free and cake for the foggy break

The break didn´t lower the mood of the park rats a bit. They kept themselves warm by hitting some obstacles at the park or visited the chill area. Just like a shred crew from Australia, who signed up for Gold & Glory. “There’s nothing like this back home, so we are really excited to be here. The Gold & Glory is still Grey & Gloomy, but otherwise it´s awesome here today!” The shredders from down under were offered some culinary treats at the chill area. Besides lunch and drinks for free, QParks also brought a cake straight into the park. Why? Because there was a birthday to celebrate: The 15th anniversary of QParks. And there´s no better way to celebrate than with cake, fine beats and the company of like-minded shredheads.

The fourth stop didn't work out as planned, but thanks to those motivated riders it still turned out to be a success.
