<div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">On March 13th, 2023, the second round of the Girls Shred Sessions took place in the Snowpark Ehrwalder Alm. The Snowpark and the trees glittered and shone with fresh snow, just like the eyes of the shred queens that day. The 50 participants were super stoked, danced on the rails and sent it a lot over kickers, boxes and other obstacles. </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Warm-up first</strong> </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">Freeskiers and snowboarders from near and far travelled to the snow park at 9:30 a.m. to push their shred skills together. Some well-known faces who have been at the Girls Shred Sessions for many years, but also girls who have newly discovered the format, started at 10:15 a.m. with an important warm-up to focus on the muscles and cardiovascular system to prepare for the upcoming progression session. The girls were then divided according to their rider level. The four groups were coached this year by freestyle queens Lea Baumschlager (SBD), Giuliana Bottazzin (SBD), Lisa Zimmermann (FSK) and Patrizia Holzmann (FSK). </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Oh, MAMA - I wanna go surfing</strong> </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">In the first round of the shred session we went to the family park and the snow park. Everything was practiced from frontside boardslide to fakie and 180s on boxes and rails. Lisa Zimmermann first perfected switch skiing with her freeskiers. </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">“I'm really excited, this is my first girls shred session and I enjoy just shredding with them. The tips and tricks of the coaches help a lot to optimize the basic freestyle knowledge”, said snowboarder Lisa. </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Cheesy toast party with swag</strong> </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">The girls were lured to the chill area at 12:30 p.m., where the QParks crew were already busy preparing toasts and the delicious smell of cheese and toast wafted through the park. In addition to the sandwiches, hot tea, Makava and sweet snacks it also brought a lot of energy again, so that the girls could start the second coaching session well strengthened. </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">“The atmosphere was super beautiful, and I felt comfortable trying out new tricks. And I have to say, the warm toasts were a super tasty snack,” shared freeskier Anna. </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">The progression was clearly visible, and the girls cheered each other on to master the daily goal, be it the first 360 or a boardslide. </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">Snowboarder Daria enthused: "I've met so many cool new girls who share the same passion and I'm now able to do the boardslide over the box - it was a wonderful day." </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><strong>BIG Thanks & #onedecadeofgirlpower-Giveaway</strong> </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">Our host Ehrwalder Almbahnen and partners Boardriding, Qparksfreestyle, Bluetomato, Golden Ride Magazine contributed to making the Girls Shred Session such a unique day.
