EVENT PREVIEW: 10 years Zillertal VÄLLEY RÄLLEY 2022/2023 - Stop 3. PenkenPark Mayrhofen

All eyes are now on the PenkenPark in Mayrhofen. That's where the 3rd Zillertal VÄLLEY RÄLLEY tour stop hosted by Blue Tomato & Ride Snowboards will take place on 11 and 12 March 2023. With its unique combination of snowboard freestyle coaching and internationally recognised snowboard slopestyle competitions, the VÄLLEY RÄLLEY has established itself over the last decade as the leading junior tour for young snowboarders throughout Europe. The PenkenPark Mountopolis in Mayrhofen-Hippach in the Zillertal is the perfect stage for the big freestyle show on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the Zillertal VÄLLEY RÄLLEY. The even more special highlight will be the Blue Tomato Bagjump Session on the coaching day. Every enthusiastic snowboarder can register for the contest and free coaching at www.valleyralley.at. The PenkenPark is one of the most popular freestyle parks in the Zillertal. The "Home Park" of the Ästhetiker Snowboard Crew also counts among the top 10 leading snowparks in Europe. The program of the 10th Zillertal VÄLLEY RÄLLEY next weekend includes a contest day as well as a training day with free freestyle coaching on the different lines and on the Bagjump Landingbag followed by a Blue Tomato Bagjump Session, where Blue Tomato will hand out cool prizes and vouchers for the best tricks over the Landingbag.

On the day of the contest, snowboarders of all ages will compete in their respective categories. The young talents will present their best freestyle tricks on the Advanced and Medium Line. Lots of medals, prize money and of course VÄLLEY RÄLLEY overall points await the day's winners. The best trick of the day will be rewarded by Horsefeathers with an additional prize and prize money. Depending on the weather conditions, the contest will take place on Saturday or Sunday and the coaching on the other day. The Aesthetiker organisers will announce the final schedule on Thursday before the event. On both days Ride Snowboards will present the latest snowboards and bindings for free demo/ testing at the park base and Blue Tomato will run a Riders Lounge with free snacks and drinks for all participants.

Finally, with the third of four contest results, the tension in the VÄLLEY RÄLLEY Overall Ranking will rise in Mayrhofen. The overall tour winners will then be crowned the new Zillertal VÄLLEY RÄLLEY royal family 2023 after the fourth and final tour stop at Hintertux Glacier at the end of April.

With their participation in Mayrhofen, snowboarders also collect points on the international World Snowboard Point List (WSPL). The tour stop is a recognised ASA (Austrian Snowboard Association) Austriacup. Rookies (U18) get points in the World Rookie Ranking. The two leading rookies in the Overall VÄLLEY RÄLLEY Ranking after the 3rd tour stop will each win a wildcard for the World Rookie Finals.
