Eighth stop of Blue Tomato x Zumiez Best Foot Forward Tour saw skaters from five countries shredding in Swiss Alps

The eighth Blue Tomato x Zumiez Best Foot Forward Europe stop took place last Saturday at Alaia Chalet in Lens, Switzerland. Surrounded by the majestic Swiss Alps, in the canton of Valais, the contest at Alaia Chalet was a very special one.

A total of 42 participants from Germany, Spain, Italy, France and Switzerland gathered to show their best skills and tricks.

Podium

Men:

1st place: Rafa Bocanegra - @rafa.bocanegra

2nd place: Simon Perrotet - @_simonperrottet_

3rd place: Kai Naumann - @kai_naumann_

Women:

1st place: Zoe Fabienne Van Essen - @zoeskategirl

2nd place: Nanou Flashes - @nanou_flashes

3rd place: Carmen Savioz

Our travel judges Stefan Ebner and Gienna Giese gave us their opinion on the performance:

Rafa Bocanegra: Crystal clear the first place with lightning-fast lines at every obstacle and transition of the park. His tricks included fs bluntslide bigspin out on the big rail, sw feeble grind on the small rail, kickflip from the table into the quarter and blunt fs flip on the quarter.

Simon Perrotet: His board broke in two pieces at half time. However Simon was still able to secure second place with tricks like sw bs tailslide on the small Hubba Ledge, sw bs Lipslide on the big rail and a mighty fs flip with a borrowed board over the big rail into the flat .

Kai Naumann: Third place was a tough decision for the judges between Kai and the twelve-year-old ripper Simon Gerber. Due to his tricks on the larger obstacles (bs 180 kickflip on the big stairset, bs tailslide on the big rail), the judges ultimately gave Kai priority.

Zoe Fabienne Van Essen: With a good mixture of tricks and utilization of the course, Zoe Fabienne ended up in the middle of the overall ranking and clearly secured the first place among the women. Among other things, there were boardslides on the flatrail, kickflips in the bank and the fakie axle stall to fs 270 on the quarter.
