All roads now lead to Malmö as the Vans Pro Skate Park Series established the final field of contenders to compete in the inaugural park terrain skateboarding World Championships to be held in Sweden this August. The fourth and final Global Qualifier of the season saw more than a hundred skaters in Huntington Beach, CA battle it out in one built-to-spec custom designed park course for the chance to earn their spot on the Malmö ticket.
Park Series Select Pro Chris Russell claimed an exceptional first place victory in Huntington Beach today to mark his second Vans Park Series Global Qualifier win of the season. Sneaking in second place, Ben Hatchell executed a stupefying final run with expert control, while Sweden’s Oskar Rozenberg Hallberg consistently delivered smooth and stylish lines to take third.
Led by Italy’s Ivan Federico, the Global Challenger rankings are now secured and the top eight Challengers from around the world will join the Vans Park Series Select Pros in Malmö, Sweden for the first-ever International Skateboard Federation-sanctioned park terrain Vans Park Series World Championships this August.
