Even though the weather was a bit difficult, this year’s Blue Tomato Plan P attracted riders from all over the place. Due to the weather conditions, the contest wasn’t held on the massive kicker line but a rad rail setup on 3 hits. On the first hit, riders were given the choice of either an industry uprail, an industry rainbow rail or a flat/down box. On the second hit, the snowboarders had to decide between a wallride + highrail, an industry downrail and a rainbow box. On the final hit, a flat/down industry rail and an up/down box awaited the shredders. And the shapers did a great job on the setup as Margrét Róbertsdóttir from the Icelandic team puts it: “The park was awesome. It was so great for the kids to ride a park in such a good shape.” So, this year’s contest became a jib-session, which left riders from Iceland, Hungary, Lithuania, Slovenia, Russia, Germany and Austria stoked as usual.

Style for the win!

In the category “Snowboard Men”, Motiejus Morauskas (LTU) took home his first win ever in a QParks Tour Stop with a lipslide 270, a boardslide switchup to frontboard to fakie and a cab 270 gap to frontboard to forward. His run got him 150 € and a selection of sweet goodies. Blue Tomato employee Mani Lindmoser (AUT) got to celebrate two wins: He won 100 € of cash & plenty of goodies for making the 2nd place in the category “Snowboard Men”. He also won the Best Snowboard Trick Award with a backside blunt 450 out on the industry uprail and got a new skatedeck plus a 100 € voucher by Blue Tomato. He’ll also have the chance to win a surf vacation in Ecuador by Free Spirit by the very end of the QParks Tour. Also, he’s probably a candidate for “Employee of the month” at Blue Tomato. The 3rd place and 50 € of prize money went to Blue Tomato Team Rider Felix Widnig (AUT): “It really was a family-like atmosphere and I enjoyed meeting all these people again, since I took part last year too!” Jure Seifried (SVN) won 1st in the category “Snowboard Groms” followed by Haftsteinn Ódinsson (ISL) and Jascha Nuñez (AUT).

In the category “Snowboard Women” Emma Lantos (AUT) shredded her way to the top, leaving Kiara Zung (AUT) on the 2nd place and Barbara Mayer on the 3rd place.
