At first it looked like the Battle ROJal would go down according to plan. The view at the Park was clear, the fog seemed to stay down in the valley and the tour community was motivated and stoked for a nice day at the Snowpark Schöneben. With Daniel Melnikov even one Russian contestant found his way to South Tyrol alongside with Italian, Austrian and Dutch riders. During the training, Men, Women and Groms shredded four kickers and a multi jib and gave the judges a taste of what they were about to witness at the contest.

Halfway through the qualification runs, the fog set in. “The weather changed all day and there was bad sight, so the judges decided that the contest had to be canceled”, Daniel explained. So the parkrats had a break at the chill area and enjoyed drinks, sausages and fine sounds while watching how the start was moved to the multi jib obstacle.

Of course nobody wanted to leave Schöneben without having a sweet session. So Battle ROJal was turned into a Goodies for Tricks session where all riders could earn giveaways from Pinetime, Amplifi and QParks for their tricks. Judge Andy Lehmann was satisfied with the session: „The weather wasn´t on our side today. But since we want to get something good out of everything, that´s what we did today. We got the best out of the setup, we got the best out of the riders and we got the best out of the cake.” That cake was served after the common shred, to celebrate the 15th birthday of QParks the right way.

The first Tour Stop didn´t go down as planned, but thanks to the community in the park it still was a blast.
