The most original contest discipline in snowboarding, attracting hundreds to Laax, the resort that has been synonymous with snowboard culture worldwide since 1986. Anyone who wants to actively take part in the winding race can now <a href="https://register.flimslaax.com/" target="_blank">register online</a>.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">Pick up speed on every banked turn and carry it into the next turn, curve by curve towards the finish and the colourful field of participants: carefree children, ambitious ex-pros, tricky freestylers, speedy teenagers, elegant cat women or the local experts from snowparkLAAX. Fonda thighs are generally an advantage and cheering at the start is just as typical as applause for everyone at the finish.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">On <strong>Saturday</strong>, the <strong>Open</strong> (18-39 years), <strong>Masters</strong> (40 years+) and <strong>Pros</strong> categories will start at <strong>10 a.m</strong>. The award ceremony at the rocksresort at 5 p.m. will segue into an evening of celebration in the valley. Vegetarian dinner in the Riders Hotel followed by DJ Crissi in the Indy Bar (from 9.30 p.m.) or the Schmusi Kollektiv in the Riders Club (from 10 p.m.).</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Sunday</strong> is traditionally a day for the kids where <strong>girls and boys</strong> start in three age groups from<strong> 11 a.m</strong>. on the same course as the adults the day before. </div><div style="text-align: justify;">Also in 2024, the Banked Slalom LAAX will conclude with the <strong>Fakie Race</strong>. Whether small, medium or large – everyone is equal and there is only one category: The fastest rider to complete the course backwards on a snowboard wins the trophy!</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">Sustainability has always played an important role at this cross-generational event: from the use of materials to bib numbers and trophies, to those lasting moments cherished by the 300-plus participating riders and fans of the event.
