It was a full day of grom-fueled stoke unaffected by Mother Nature’s ability to throw a mixed bag of both surf and weather conditions around Legian Beach yesterday, where some 90 plus kids came from all over Bali to join in and compete for fun, prizes and new surfboards from Warner and Channel Islands.

The world’s top female surfers will gather next week on the Valley Isle for the start of the 2021 World Surf League (WSL) Championship Tour (CT) as the 12-day waiting period for the Maui Pro presented by ROXY at Honolua Bay begins on Friday, December 4.

The International Surfing Association (ISA) has today announced that the 2021 Surf City El Salvador World Surfing Games will take place May 29th – June 6th at two world-class locations in El Salvador: La Bocana and El Sunzal.

El Sunzal will host one of the two podiums for the 2021 World Surfing Games.

The World Surf League (WSL) today announced Lower Trestles, CA will be the location of the WSL Finals in September 2021.

Congrats are in order to the first-ever Brazilian champion of the Surf Web Series (SWS): Thiago Camarão from São Paulo made surfing history this weekend defeating former WCT surfer Ian Gouveia, from Pernambuco based in São Sebastião (SP), in the virtual final of 51 Ice E-Pro Brasil presented by Curta+Floripa.

Sending in his best clips from home in Maresias, Thiago Camarão won the inaugural Surf Web Series event in Brazil.

After two epic Australian Grand Slam of Surfing events saw professional competition return to the ocean, the World Surf League (WSL) is excited to announce the winners of the series along with their chosen charities. The two events were part of The WSL Countdown, a global series of pre-season charitable events with the official waiting period coming to an end on October 31.

Isabella Nichols, Mikey Wright and Ethan Ewing (pictured) are the champions of the Australian Gran Slam of Surfing charity series with $40,000 AUD prize money going to the charities of their choice.

Conor Maguire has taken the surfing world by storm in recent years and he was quick to take up the opportunity of a lifetime when the aftermath of Hurricane Epsilon gave rise to 60ft waves off the coast of his native Ireland.

The 2020 Mallipo Surfing Championship event, the first professional competition in Korean surfing history, was held on the 23rd of October at Mallipo Beach in Taean, in the province of South Chungcheong at Mallipo Beach with four divisions of surfing; Men’s and Women’s Shortboard and Longboards.

In competitive longboarding’s return to the World Surf League (WSL), Soleil Errico and Justin Quintal have won the Cuervo Surf Ranch Classic. The Cuervo Surf Ranch Classic, a WSL specialty event, was held under stadium lights at the Surf Ranch and is now available to stream on WorldSurfLeague.com.

Once competition resumes, twenty-year-old João Chianca (BRA) has high expectations for earning a spot on the World Surf League (WSL) Championship Tour (CT). In 2019, the younger brother of big wave charger Lucas “Chumbo” Chianca (BRA) earned the title as the WSL Latin America Regional Champion. In 2020, he was off to a torrid start after finishing runner-up at the QS5000 Volcom Pipe Pro and was competing at the last high-level Qualifying Series (QS) events in Australia before the season was cancelled.

Mikey Wright and Isabella Nichols have taken epic wins at the Boost Mobile Pro Gold Coast in pumping surf at South Stradbroke Island. The pair had to overcome a field of some of Australia’s best surfers in four-to-six foot waves to claim victory in the second event of the World Surf League (WSL) Australian Grand Slam of Surfing.

The MEO Portugal Cup of Surfing wrapped up today with the victories of local hero Frederico Morais (PRT) and Champion Tour star Johanne Defay (FRA) in good three-to-four foot surf at Ribeira d’Ilhas. The pair overcame World Champion Italo Ferreira (BRA) and Nadia Erostarbe (EUK) respectively in the event’s finals this afternoon.

The 2020 YETI Australian Junior Online Surf Championships are set to give the country’s best junior talent a platform to compete for individual honours and state pride after Surfing Australia today announced the cancellation of the 2020 Surf Dive n’ Ski Australian Junior Surfing Titles which were scheduled to run from November 28th, 2020 on North Stradbroke Island due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic situation.

The World Surf League (WSL) Nissan Super Girl Surf Pro will return to the Oceanside Pier in Oceanside, Calif., October 3-4, 2020 where the top female surfers from Hawaii, California and Florida will return to California’s first ocean-competition since the COVID-19 pause. No fans will be permitted to attend; however, the WSL specialty event will feature the live broadcast on WorldSurfLeague.com starting at 8 a.m. PT.
