Boardriding headed over to Lisbon for the first ever WRT Skate Finals this weekend at Parque das Gerações.

Black Yeti crowned the first World Rookie Champion in an incredible scenario where 50 riders from 7 nations, met and competed in the beautiful Parque das Gerações in Cascais, Portugal, in front of the Atlantic Ocean. A fantastic crowd showed up in large numbers to experience a brand new concept for the skateboard community: a platform to search and support the future stars of skateboarding.

Done and dusted! The Vans Park Series World Championships ends the 2019 season with yet another incredible action-packed finale, crowning Oskar Rozenberg Hallberg and Sakura Yosozumi as your new 2019 Vans Park Series World Champions! Energy was peaking from massive Salt Lake City crowds at the new, permanent Vans-Utah Sports Commission Skatepark earlier today, as the two swept everyone away with their heavy-hitting runs.

The first edition of the South Tyrol Rookie Fest Skateboarding, held in Bozen, Italy, was a great success. On the 24 and 25 August 2019, almost 30 skaters from all over Italy, gather in the amazing Bolzano Skateplatza, a 1000 square meter concrete park developed by the local Sk8 Project Sport Association in partnership with the Municipality of Bozen.

With the upcoming event in Bozen, South Tyrol, Italy, and Winterthur, Zurich in Switzerland, the 2019 World Rookie Tour Skateboarding will complete the qualification series to select the most promising skateboarders for the end of season World Rookie Skateboardig Finals in Portugal.

The world’s best park terrain skaters converged for the penultimate stop of the 2019 Vans Park Series Pro Tour at the brand-new Vans-Cosanostra permanent legacy skatepark in Paris-Chelles, skating their hearts out before ranting and raving crowds. The exciting finale to the week’s competition saw USA’s Cory Juneau and Japan’s Kokona Hiraki declared as the Paris-Chelles winners, in addition to the crowning of two new VPS Europa Regional champions, Alesandro Massara (ITA) and Daniela Terol Mendez (ESP) earlier this week. The final stop on tour will be the 2019 VPS World Championships, to be hosted in Salt Lake City, Utah on September 7, where the highest-ranking competitors and invited Select Pros will meet for one last time to crown two new champions in park terrain skateboarding.

After four days of non-stop action, X Games Minneapolis 2019 came to an end on Sunday evening with finals in Women’s Skateboard Street, Wendy’s Men’s Skateboard Park, Harley-Davidson Hooligan Racing, newly added Skateboard Street Best Trick and Dave Mirra’s BMX Park Best Trick.

X Games Minneapolis continued Saturday as fans came through the gates at U.S. Bank Stadium to watch the most talented action sports athletes in the world compete in a wide range of events including fan-favorites Monster Energy Skateboard Street and Moto X Best Trick.

Day two of X Games Minneapolis 2019 continued at U.S. Bank Stadium today, where the world’s premier action sports athletes competed in six high-energy finals and one elimination, while the EXP Invitational - Apex Legends kicked off with 20 teams of three competing in Electronic Arts’ battle royale-style video game.

The world’s premier action sports competition kicked off for its third year in the Twin Cities, where spectators came out to see the best in Skateboard, BMX and Moto X in Downtown Minneapolis. Top action sports skateboard and BMX athletes took their talents to the Pacifico Vert ramp, moved to The Armory this year for the first time, and Moto X riders showed off their skills outside in X Fest.

The resort of Les2Alpes is one of the most trendy international ski resort in the world, especially for the summer skiing. For sure, there is one more reason to come here: the brand new Les 2 Alpes Skatepark. Opened in September 2018 at the bottom of the slopes at 1,650 metres, the skatepark is open to anyone free of charge every day until 11.00pm.

On Friday, July the 19th, the France stop of the 2019 World Rookie Tour Skateboarding will be held in the brand new Les 2 Alpes Skatepark. The top three rookies and groms of the event, male and female, will be qualified for the World Rookie Skateboard Finals first edition ever, to be held in Portugal in September 2019.

Returning to the City of Trees and the legendary Rhodes Skate Park for the third edition of the Road to X Games: Boise Qualifier, the world’s top skateboard and BMX athletes competed to secure their invitations to Minneapolis. More than 10,000 fans witnessed six Men’s Skateboard and BMX athletes and five Women’s Skateboarders qualify for X Games Minneapolis through a new jam session format.

The Brazilian crowds went off the rails this past weekend at the second stop of the 2019 Vans Park Series Pro Tour, closing out a sensational ending that crowned local heroes Pedro Barros and Yndiara Asp as the winners of the VPS São Paulo event. Defending their home turf with pride, Barros and Asp not only proved their mastery of the São Paulo course design with power and precision, but also expressed deep gratitude for Brazil’s devoted support. Learning from each other throughout the years, the camaraderie between the two winners was an emotional moment for all to witness.
