Former world champion Roope Tonteri combined two of his biggest passions to craft a moving mini ramp on a frozen lake in 2018. Here is all you need to know:- The 28-year-old has secured three world titles in snowboard big air and slopestyle, however mixed it up in old school fashion back in his home town of Kouvola.- Tonteri started out skateboarding before he switched to snow and he went retro with his father Pekka to craft a mini ramp that allowed him to skate on snow and ice.- They braved -20 degrees Celsius to build the ramp on top of a breathtaking frozen lake, then took a chainsaw to cut the ice to make an ice carousel for Tonteri and skateboarder Jaakko Ojanen to unleash their moves.- He explained: "The cold weather actually made it quite tricky. Skateboards are not made for that kind of climate. The rubber in the trucks froze immediately and made turning and pulling off tricks very hard. The revolving ramp was actually not that bad, since we managed to create a really stable carousel."For more stunning scenery explore this BMX salt lake park HERE.© Red Bull Media House
