You’re only going to need TWO main pieces of kit to get into skateboarding… no prizes for guessing the first! But it’ll either be complete or custom :-) The only other thing you’re gonna need (apart from gutsy determination & perseverance) are skate shoes!!!! And this is a MUST, for reasons such as good grip and durability… and a good fitting pair will give you a better chance of picking up the basics quickly. So, are you gonna go cupsole or vulcanised?!
Watch this for a neat explanation…

There are plenty of other cool things you could also include in your skateboarding kit. You might wanna think about…
Skate stickers to slap on your deck and show your allegiances. Know the secret benefit of doing this? This vid reveals all!
Longboarding wheel shields. See this video to learn how to put these on.
Or even wheels that aren’t round!
Where to go: You’ve got two options. You can either go online to hunt out your perfect match – see our shops section.
Or you can get down your local skate shop. Find one near you, here!
Tip: If you’re not big on decision making, save yourself valuable skate time and go for a complete! But if you get psyched at the thought of choosing bones, spitfire or pig (for wheels!), then custom all the way!! Explore our brands section to see what’s out there or catch up on your favs. With a bit of luck you’ll find some sweet options to test, destroy and totally fall for. Now go pimp your ride. :D
